Raw Cannabis w/guest blogger Miss Teddi

My name is Miss Teddi, ABQ’s very own Raw Cannabis juicing lady. I have been following the work of Dr.Courtney’s since 2010, and started juicing 4 years ago .  Raw Cannabis came into play around 2010 by Dr. Courtney.

Dr. Courtney has shown his investigations to many doctors. Kristen Petskuski was the first patient to be healed with Raw Cannabis in 2012. This helped important institutions such as the national cancer institute recognize the anti tumor properties of cannabinoids.

It has also been found that Raw Cannabis has nutritional value as well. I’m trying to get together with a laboratory to test these properties.

In 6 years we have only just began to understand the wonders of Raw Cannabis as an herbal remedy for healing, and as a vegetable.

We have also learned the there are 480 natural components within the cannabis plant.  One of the components is THC. This is the substance that is mainly responsible for the psychoactive effects. It is the lesser known components, the CBD and THCA found in the leaves and trichrome covered flowers of the raw plant, that deliver the nutritional and therapeutic punch.

Consuming Raw Cannabis in it’s raw form is the only way to enjoy all the benefits of the plant. But when cannabis is ripe or heated it loses the anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and anti- proliferative (the anti- cancerous ) properties of cannabinoids. Remember when you heat up a vegetable it loses a great deal of its nutrients and enzymes which are beneficial to your health? By definition Raw Cannabis is a vegetable and it also loses a great deal of its nutritional value when heated.

We benefit from Raw Cannabis because it comes along with a concentrated source of nutrients that can boost your energy. Its loaded with anti-oxidants, a prefect balance of omega 3 and omega 6, and potent anti-inflammatory properties which can help fight off a host of illnesses and simple aches and pains. You also avoid the high, or head effect.

Plus, with it containing  protein and vegetable matter it can be  used as a dietary supplement. You can lose weight, control your blood sugar, blood pressure, and much more! It just makes for a better quality of life.

There are however a few things one must look out for, Dr. Courtney cautions.

People who have kidney or gallbladder problems may have risks with Raw Cannabis use. He also would not recommend Raw Cannabis for people with hypercalciuria type two, enteric hyperoxaluria, or primary hyperoxaluria. Also anyone taking blood thinning drugs such as coumadin or if you are taking medication that can be blocked by grapefruit or pomegranate juice, you should advise your doctor that your are considering a Raw Cannabis regimen. Most leafy greens contain a high amount of vitamin k which can prevent the liver from metabolizing such drugs, and Raw Cannabis can have this effect as well.

I am not the only one that uses raw Cannabis.  A good friend and fellow MCP Pam McKay tells me, “I was having terrible neuropathy in my legs and was suffering from foot cramps. When I began juicing first thing in the morning the neuropathy subsided as well as the foot cramping and it just helped me feel better it a great way to start my day. Without  having full access to Raw Cannabis or the Canna juice  some of my symptoms have returned. I look forward to getting my PPL  and having my own grow simply for the purpose of having my raw cannabis”

I got my dad Ted Thompson to start juicing shortly after he became an MCP at age 81. It was his blood sugar that surprised me the most . His morning fast was 400 at times,  but 3 moths into juicing his blood sugar fast are now testing below 150 and he tells me “I cant explain how it works or what it does all I know is it makes me feel better and I wont stop juicing with raw cannabis!  He stopped once and his blood sugar was at an all time high. My mom told him to start juicing again and it went back down to a normal level in only 2 days .”

My dear husband Rex Kohr started juicing shortly after I did. He told me he didn’t think it was doing anything that he could notice so he stopped juicing. After only 2 weeks of him not juicing is when he could tell a difference. Once again I’m told I don’t know how to explain what it does, all I know is I feel much better when using Raw Cannabis. Rex also states he’s happy that he’s married to the creator of over 50 treats made with Raw Cannabis which makes using Raw cannabis a pleasure to drink and eat. He might be a little biased, but you will be able to judge for yourselves when my book of Raw Cannabis treats comes out in the summer of 2017.

As for me I could write a book on how Raw Cannabis has changed my life, but I’ll keep it simple. I have been using it both as a dietary supplement and as a herbal healing ready for 4 years. I suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic pain, diabetes and the list goes on. Raw Cannabis has given me my life back. I have lost over 100 lbs. gone from 28 pharmaceuticals down to only 3. Before juicing it hurt to even smile, or to give a hug, but now I’m able to do it often. Raw Cannabis is now a major part of my life I’m actually living for the first time in a long time. I’m loving every part of my life. I’m now a big advocate for Raw Cannabis. I’m also an educator and consultant on Raw Cannabis ready for hire! I cant imagine my life without Raw Cannabis in it.

I think it was Shakespeare that said, let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food. I think he was onto something.

When juicing, a wheat grass juicer is recommended for those using large amounts of leaf. However, I have found that a blender is better to use its quicker and easier.  According to Dr. Courtney, a blender is prefered for juicing as you recover closer to 100% of what you put in.

You should use cannabis leaves and small buds that are well into flower. Buds have a higher concentration of CBD’s,  than leaves. Using both together is quite beneficial. Most don’t have the resources  to do this, but I have found through experience that you can mix leaves from plants in a vegatative state with your flowering leaves and a few buds to stretch your juice, and it”s quite effective. It works as both a dietary supplement and a healing supplement.

Raw Cannabis can be kept in an air tight baggy in the refigerator for up to a week. Do not freeze your raw matter. It will cause it to loose its enzymes.

Rule of thumb is one cup of raw leaf matter is a serving .

Eat Cannabis: Take back your health America!

I have found that in my journey to take back my health many people question how cannabis can help them if they do not with to smoke it. When cannabis is smoked, it is rapidly taken into the lungs and the THC in it rapidly affects the brain via the bloodstream. When it is ingested, the effect is slower, but perhaps even more powerful on the health of the body. Now, I am not personally opposed to smoking it. It has a rapid effect by latching on to the cannabinoid receptors in the body and therefore will decrease pain and anxiety quickly. There are times when this is necessary and needed.
Does smoking cannabis cause lung cancer? I poured through many articles and studies on this, and from what I have read, it is still not known. Some articles say it does not contribute to cancer at all. Some say it fights cancer even if smoked. The fact is, cannabis has many properties such as the THC and CBD’s that are non carcinogenic and even cancer fighting. It is not like smoking tobacco because the nicotine in tobacco promotes the development of cancer. The fact is, I could not find one article that definitively linked cannabis smoking to cancer. If you are not convinced though, ingesting cannabis by eating it may be your route of choice to improve your health condition or health in general.
Cannabis can reduce heart disease, cancer risk, insulin dependent diabetes and general inflammation in the body. I am living proof of this. When I came off of my pharmaceutical medication, I replaced it mainly with medicinal cannabis. I also use some other herbal treatments regularly. The interesting thing is, that when I was on the pharmaceutical medications I still had abnormal tests for inflammation in my body. I have psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, a history of dermatomyositis, all of the symptoms of myasthenia gravis, heart disease, and diabetes. After being on my new regimen with daily cannabis use ingesting it in my food and smoking it as needed, my inflammation tests were normal for the first time since my 20’s. I have also come off of the insulin I was taking for diabetes. The insulin I had to be placed on from the use of steroids to treat the dermatomyositis. With pharmaceutical use, one medication often leads to the next due to side effects. I do not have that problem with cannabis use.
I eat cannabis by infusing olive oil and cooking it into my meals. You can also juice it, make into an oil, or make it into a tincture. If you choose to make oil or butter, then you can cook it into anything that calls for fat such as cookies, brownies, cake, or biscuits. I also ingest cannabis oil daily.
For me, the use of cannabis has improved my health tremendously. I feel that eating it has the most benefits. My next step is to try raw juicing it as some people feel that this has the most benefits. In any case, I will not remove this important medicinal herb from my diet because I have seen the amazing results with improvements to my inflammation levels, heart disease and cholesterol levels, weight loss, reduced anxiety and depression symptoms, reduced PTSD symptoms, improved A1C tests for diabetes and improved eye problems. And I am not alone. Please do your research and consider adding it to your diet today.

Choosing a Healthy and Happy Lifestyle

Life is all about choices, and when we make positive healthy choices for ourselves, we are really choosing a positive and healthy life.  I am going to discuss three basic elements that you can look at today to help make a healthy lifestyle for yourself. They are good nutrition, exercise, and positive thinking.

With regard to good nutrition, there is a lot of literature out there about what food is healthy and what isn’t.  This can be very confusing to someone who is trying to change their eating habits.  I usually suggest to people to think of it simply.  Buy fresh organic vegetables, spices, herbs and fruits.  Choose items that are not processed.   When we do this and cook at home, we really can’t go wrong.  Then we know exactly what we are putting into our bodies.  And it tastes so much better!   Processed convenience products may be attractive at the outset because they are quick to prepare, but they are not a healthy choice for a long healthy life.  Read labels.   Watch for chemicals, dyes and added sugar or high fructose corn syrup.  These are things that you definitely do not need in your diet.  With everything I know, I was tempted to buy a jar of pre-made pesto the last time I went shopping.  Then I read the label. Sure, there were pine nuts, basil and olive oil.  Then there were several preservative chemicals that I couldn’t pronounce.  I quickly put it back on the shelf.  I could buy the ingredients to make my own pesto for a little more money, but  make three times the amount!

Additionally, if you are trying to lose some extra weight that you have built up in your body, it can be very confusing how to approach that in the safest and most nutritionally balanced way.  There are many programs out there, and it may seem  too difficult sometimes to even think about getting started.  Here is a health tip from Jay Morris Sprigs about that very subject:

Exercise is also a big factor in creating a healthy lifestyle.  Many times, we feel that we can’t possibly fit exercise into our lives, and we just don’t have enough energy to do it.  The truth is, if we fit it into our lives it would increase our energy level and make us feel stronger and more capable over the long-term.    It’s great to attend a gym especially if we have friends attending the gym and we can make it a social event.   But that isn’t always possible due to time crunches and financial issues.  And sometimes someone may just feel the gym isn’t for them.  So here is a health tip from Andrea Sumers about increasing your activity level without having to attend a gym:

The last healthy life style topic I want to discuss here, is  positive thinking.   Life is busy and often difficult today.  We get caught up in the worries of life, and forget a most basic element to a happy life.  Happy and positive thoughts.  Take a few moments every day, and think about what your mind is creating.  The thoughts we put into ourselves and outward into the Universe have an impact on the outcome of our lives.   A mantra that we create ourselves can help us to create the life we want.  Here is a sound clip on how to create a mantra:

Please consider your life style choices today, and what they are creating for you.   It is never too late to start creating the lifestyle that will bring you health, wellness,  and happiness.  Your happiness is in your own mind and choices.  The  creation of your life, for better or for worse, is  in your own two hands.

Nutrition: Bulldozer Remedy for Health #3

When I began to devise our four remedies for health,  I realized how huge the role of nutrition is in health and wellness.  We either eat to feed our health, or eat to feed disease.  The body utilizes the nutrients in our food to build a strong capable mind and body, when we choose to eat for health. So this is an easy choice right?

Not really.  Many people today are not educated properly about nutrition, and that is a huge factor in what they choose at the grocery store.  In fact, numerous people believe that they are eating for health by choosing certain foods such as those labeled “low-fat” or by choosing a certain products that are supposed to be good for you but actually have a lot of added sugar or high fructose corn syrup.  I have spent a lot of time reading labels since I found nutrition to be a vital part of taking back my health.   As I meet people who need our help, I have realized that many people want to eat well, and many think that they already are.  Once you show them the label on the food that appears to be healthy but really isn’t, they can then make better choices and usually do. So start reading labels!

I also refer them to articles about low-fat and good fat to increase their knowledge about this.  The American public was fooled for a long time about fats and fat content and it is important to help people understand what fat is good for them and what isn’t.

That said, the bottom line here is that nothing beats preparing fresh food yourself  to create health.  You can afford to feed yourself healthy food if you choose the right things and have some simple recipes to follow.

7 winners for dinner newest.

I have attached our “7 Winners for Dinner” for free here.  Volunteer Wayne Thaxton and I created this booklet with 7 simple recipes for dinner.  You will have leftovers, and can eat more of the selections for lunch the next day. These recipes are easy to follow and take an hour or less to prepare.  The  grocery cost will be 50 dollars or less for 2+ people to obtain all of the ingredients!   The recipes are primarily vegetarian, however you can add lean, organic meat if desired.  This will increase the cost, however you can choose how much by the amount of meat you add to the recipes.

Additionally, there are numerous simple solutions for following Bulldozer Remedy for Health #3.   These include increasing your water intake, eliminating soda from your diet, and restricting processed food.  We have one for you to watch, that we just released this week as one of our health tips on YouTube.  Please take a look at this week’s weekly bulldozer health tip from our YouTube channel, Bulldozer Health.
